Tiny Town
Tiny Town is the home studio operated by Jonathan Epstein with help from studio manager Delilah. Nestled in the charming Cherrydale neighborhood of Arlington, VA, Tiny Town is not only home to Jonathan's on-going recording projects, but is also available to the public. The drum tracking room doubles as the control room at Tiny Town. The 10' x 9' space houses the drum kit, the computer DAW, outboard gear, and several guitar amplifiers, though the rest of the house that is Tiny Town is available for recording purposes. A larger room is available for acoustic tracking as well. The key to Tiny Town's not-so-tiny sound is the 10' high ceilings. The space is ideal for solo, duo, and trio projects. Very much an audio and tone purist, Jonathan prefers to limit the usage of computer plug-ins as much as possible. Instead, he focuses on achieving the best possible sound at the source, relying on effective microphone placement and knowledgeable use of his instruments, effects, and outboard gear.
